How it works

   Call the emergency line

   Dial 08131539685 at any hour. We assess the urgency over the phone and advise on immediate first-aid steps before you arrive.

   Triage on arrival

   On arrival you are seen ahead of routine patients. Pain, bleeding, and swelling are addressed first to stabilise your condition.

3. 03

   Examination & imaging

   A focused clinical examination and targeted X-rays (where indicated) identify the underlying cause — fracture, infection, exposed nerve, or trauma.

4. 04

   Definitive treatment

   Treatment is delivered in the same visit where possible — extraction, root canal, splinting, abscess drainage, temporary or permanent restoration.

5. 05

   Follow-up review

   A short follow-up appointment is scheduled to check healing and plan any further restorative work needed.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe or persistent toothache, broken or chipped teeth, knocked-out teeth, lost fillings or crowns, swelling or pus near the gumline (abscess), and trauma to the gums, lips, or cheeks all warrant immediate attention. If you are unsure, call the emergency line and we will advise.

What should I do if a tooth is knocked out?

Hold the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with milk or saline if dirty, and try to reinsert it into the socket. If reinsertion is not possible, store the tooth in milk or saliva and come in immediately — the chance of saving the tooth drops sharply after 60 minutes.

Can I be seen outside working hours?

Yes. The emergency line on 08131539685 is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We open the clinic for genuine emergencies outside standard hours.

I have a severe toothache — what should I do before I arrive?

Rinse with warm salt water, take a standard over-the-counter painkiller (paracetamol or ibuprofen) if you have no contraindication, and avoid applying heat to the face. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum. Call the emergency line and we will guide you further.
